Welfare parameters and keel bone damage in laying hens reared in different production systems

The aim of this study was to determine the effect housing system and age hens on welfare parameters prevalence keel bone damage in laying hens. In two systems were evaluated: aviary enriched cages. From each age, we used 50 randomly selected from different cages tiers. results showed significant differences between type damage. There no difference deviation systems, but higher fractures found system. addition, occurrence fractures. Footpad dermatitis had statistically at 62 weeks age.
